This year’s science classes were held at five locations in Tomakomai City.
Between August and October this year, Japan CCS held children’s science classes at five locations in Tomakomai City. We would like to thank everyone who participated. Thanks also to those at the children’s center for their cooperation.
The science classes began with an animated video on “Global Warming and CCS,” followed by hands-on experiments.
Participants mixed water, citric acid, and baking soda in 500ml plastic bottles to produce CO₂, then chose one of two challenges: inflating a rubber balloon or launching a rocket made from bamboo skewers and paper.
