The CSLF 2022 Technical Group Mid-year Meeting was held in Bergen, Norway, on June 27-29, bringing together project operators, research institutes, and other organizations which are involved in CCS projects around the world. At the meeting, together with the Technology Centre Mongstad (Norway) and the Boundary Dam Project (Canada), the Tomakomai CCS Demonstration Project received a Global Achievement Award from the CSLF for achieving the target that qualified the project for CSLF recognition.

At the meeting, there were presentations and panel discussions of CCS projects in the Netherlands, Norway, Canada and other countries by project operators and research institutes. JCCS presented on the Tomakomai CCS Demonstration Project as well as participated in a panel discussion. On the final day, the participants visited the construction site of the Northern Lights project, which will be the world’s first open-source CO2 transport and storage infrastructure.
