Japan CCS made a presentation at the Bureau Seminar held by the Bureau of Economic Geology, The University of Texas at Austin.
On February 12, 2021, JCCS made a presentation entitled “Tomakomai CCS Demonstration Project – Key Results and Next Steps” at the Bureau Seminar Series held by the Bureau of Economic Geology, The University of Texas at Austin.
In the presentation, Japan CCS presented an overview and key results of the Tomakomai CCS Demonstration Project, as well as the cooperation with the University of Texas at the Tomakomai site. After the presentation, the University of Texas commented on the importance of this collaboration and expressed its appreciation for Japan CCS’ efforts.

Japan CCS and the University of Texas Bureau of Economic Geology have been cooperating on CCUS technology development under a Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the U.S. Department of Energy and the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
