Japan CCS Co., Ltd. held its annual CCS Forum on February 13, 2020.

The annual CCS Forum was held in the afternoon of February 13, 2020 at Grand Hotel New Oji in Tomakomai, Hokkaido, with a large attendance of 600 people. In the morning, 97 people participated in a field trip to the Tomakomai CCS Demonstration Center.

The program consisted of the following:
Part 1 of the forum was entitled “A Gift from Space” and presented by Mr. Mamoru Mohri, a famous Japanese astronaut.
Part 2 was titled “Silver Bullet and Utopia ~ Towards to the implementation of CCS”, presented by Mr. Kozo Sato, Professor of The University of Tokyo and Visiting Professor of Stanford University*, followed by “Now, from Tomakomai to the World ~ Progress of Tomakomai CCS Demonstration Project”, presented by Mr. Yukihiro Kawaguchi, Director of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
