Victoria State Government, Australia is leading the CarbonNet Project that aims to establish a commercial-scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) network in Victoria, Australia.

new ♦ Japan CCS and the State Government of Victoria Australia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

On Wednesday 27 September 2023, the 3rd Asia CCUS Network Forum was held as a hybrid event in Hiroshima City. During the forum, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Japan CCS, which is implementing the Tomakomai CCS Demonstration Project, and the State Government of Victoria Australia, which is undertaking the CarbonNet Project. The two parties will cooperate in sharing experiences for the deployment of CCS.
