Japan CCS presented at Capacity Building Workshop on Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) for CCS in National GHG Inventory Reporting.
On October 8 and9, the “Capacity Building Workshop on Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) for CCS in National GHG Inventory Reporting“ was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Japan CCS made a presentation titled “Lessons learned from the Tomakomai Project” in Session 6.
This workshop forms part of the activities under the National CCUS Project, under the purview of the Ministry Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) and implemented by SIRIM Berhad, which aims to strengthen technical understanding and capacity in relation to MRV of CCS activities and integration into greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory reporting, particularly for the Industrial Processes and Product Use (IPPU) sector. JCCS presented on the inventory-related processes for the Tomakomai Project, along with the comprehensive monitoring system underlying them and its results.
