Japan CCS received a Certificate of Acknowledgement and Appreciation from The Bureau of Economic Geology (BEG), University of Texas at Austin.
In April 2015, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) signed an MOC with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to foster collaboration on carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies. Based on this MOC, DOE decided to provide the funding of US$2.5 million to the University of Texas at Austin Bureau of Economic Geology (BEG) for the implementation of data acquisition and analysis, including 3D seismic survey and other data acquisition and analysis as a joint research at the Tomakomai CCS dDemonstration Project site. In August 2017, BEG conducted a Novel High-resolution 3D Seismic Survey at the Tomakomai demonstration site, with support from Japan CCS.
Japan CCS has been honored to receive a Certificate of Acknowledgement and Appreciation signed by Dr. Scott Tinker, Director of BEG for its collaboration with regard to the Novel High-Resolution 3D Seismic Survey conducted by BEG.
